Bechamel sauce. This sauce is my favorite rich, hearty and comforting sauce that pairs so beautifully with so many dishes. My recipe will call for parmesan cheese, you can reduce the amount according to your preference or not add it at all or change it to a cheese of your choice like cheddar. Ingredients *100 g unsalted butter * 80 g flour * 1 liter whole milk * 100 g parmesan cheese (see note above) *Salt *Cracked pepper *Freshly grated nutmeg of your choice *100 g parmesan cheese (see note above) Directions *Get Started by melting the butter in a saucepan and stirring in the flour. Boil the flour for about 1-2 minutes. Subsequently, slowly adding the milk while stirring so there are no lumps * Add the cheese to your sauce along with the salt, pepper and nutmeg, then whisk and continue whisking constantly over medium heat until it thickens. .
